Billing questions

What counts as one credit?

Any single AI action: one draft, one rewrite, one brainstorm, one chat message. Writing and editing your own words is always free.

What happens when I run out?

You keep full access to your books and can keep writing. To generate more with AI, subscribe to a plan and your credits top up each month. You start with 5 free credits.

Do unused credits roll over?

No — your monthly bucket resets to your plan amount at each renewal. If you need extra, subscribers can buy top-up packs (50, 150, or 500 credits) that stay good for 12 months from purchase.

Can I switch plans?

Yes. Upgrades apply immediately with prorated credits (the unused portion of your current plan does not carry over). Downgrades take effect at your next renewal so you keep using the higher plan until then.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancelling stops future billing and you keep access until the end of your paid period.

What if a payment is refunded?

The credits that came with the refunded payment are removed from your account (floored at 0 — we never drive your balance negative). You see an in-app banner explaining what happened.
